The AvaNet & AvaServer v0.o (alpha) came online to kick off the launch of AvaMods 5.o

With the launching of the AvaNet and AvaServer, the AvaMods DoD server returned once again on September 2, 2016.. The failed launches of AvaMods versions 3.o and 4.o were not to be repeated this time around. This was a full blown revival.

And with definite serendipity, the first DoD clan that diamond-optic played in league competition with just so happened to be 5.o, back during the WON (pre-steam) days when Day of Defeat was a free mod (pre-valve), back during the beta versions.

the 5.owned naming is also intended to pay homage to this connection.
