im not sure why this is happening, but this guy is blocking spawn and playing loud annoying trance. i cant make it votekick him. how could more than 1 client match his username?

velocity January 7th, 2007 05:11 PM

It might be because it looks like theres a bunch of spaces before his name? So when you do the vote kick i think it should be amx_votekick " as" instead of amx_votekick "as"

Jonny Automatic January 7th, 2007 05:11 PM

you need at least 3 letters or some crap I thinks, use the steam id instead ;)

coltron January 7th, 2007 06:17 PM

i tried using the steam id, that had the same result.

diamond-optic January 7th, 2007 06:17 PM

ya steamid might work.. otherwise userid will too

ah. what a concept.

i swear to god they come in in groups. and they vote no on the kicks, along with other noob idiots who just are gay or jesus freaks or something and dont want to kick people..

yea so about that amx_kick. let us get it and if anyone abuses it they get permabanned.

That would be unpracticle. On the reverse side of the coin, how could we defend from groups of evil people ganging up on good individuals and getting them tossed out for nothing? It's too much power for any regular player to have.

Its a bad situation, every server has this issue at one time or another. The only way about it is either increasing admin activity, or to make a certain players worth more strategically. ie. someone who plays alot and is known to be trusted made admin or sub admin if possible. Best to look at which admins are on at which times and find someone who consecutivly playing when certain admins are off. At the moment all our admins are clustered around the 3-7pm. Having them play at other times is ordinary but not likely.

As for this "As" person, thank you coltron for bringing this up, I've run into him before but forgot to grab his info.

Jonny Automatic January 9th, 2007 04:47 AM

more admins is the key, trusted players aren't.

xxkrissixx January 9th, 2007 09:33 AM

Ive actually been slacking on my playing.. me being the normal admin on in the evenings, ive just been playing poorly so I get discouraged, however I will make sure that im on in the evenings from like 5-8pm-ish then from like 9pm-ish to late.. this might help with the bs :)
