how to disable onboard video?
so i bought a new computer.
the motherboard has a pcie slot and onboard video. i cant get the pcie video card i got to work. there is no option in the bios to disable onboard video, however there is an option for "Init Display device". there are 3 options (onboard, pci, and pciex). the obvious would be to select pciex. it doesnt work. selecting any of those options does nothing. ive tried disabling the display adapter in device manager, but that doesnt work. any suggestions? edit: there are no jumpers and nothing in the manual suggests how to change to pcie. ive installed all drivers included with the motherboard cd. |
check the bios

rip the internal video out with a screwdriver.
