watching blu-ray files???
 

anyone know how or what i can use to watch a 1080p HD blu ray rip with??

media player classic spits out some error...
..nero showtime tells me i have to buy the VC-1 decoding plugin (and i cant find it online anywhere lol) i can still hear the audio from it but it wont let me have the video lol..

kinda got 12+ gig sitting here for these files.. i wanna watch it so i can get rid of them lol..

been on google for a while and nothing i find seems to help/work

try vlc player. it plays most anything.

codecs?

vlc gives me just audio and no video :-\


the stream files are *.m2ts
index & movieobject files in the main directory are *.bdmv

the nfo file has this:

[x] Blu-ray
[x] Dolby Digital 5.1 [Eng,Fre]
[x] Dolby TrueHD [Eng]
[x] 2.35:1
[12.1 GB] Size
[VC-1] Codec

and apparently the vc-1 codec is supposed to be part of wmp, but it doesnt seem to play at all (not even the audio works in wmp)

not a clue, and on quick looking, doesnt look like there is much help out there either...

divx?? i either use vlc or divx, if they don't work usually it's a quicktime or real media player file...other than that i dunno...

Cyberlink's PowerDVD for Blu-Ray or Intervideo WinDVD newest version, both will play blueray rips, also check your card can handle the increased output, if you can hook a external DVI up to the card like a HD tv.. do that..

i watched a bunch of 720p rips (tho they were some other format and worked fine) when i first got the monitor and things looked great lol..

i think my pops has got windvd on his laptop.. ill give that a shot, well if i can find the disc anywhere lol :D

for some reason windvd wouldnt install.. kept saying it was corrupt... but my dad also had PowerDVD and that works fine.. and it fucking plays lol which is sweet as hell...
