who's played this demo yet???


its pretty fucking sweet.. ive spent sooo many hours just wandering around.. shooting down all the palm trees and killing the turtles/crabs/chickens lol... staring at the sun rays coming thru the palm leaves, and the sun rays while under water are fucking sweet too

overall the graphics are just amazing lol.. especially when you modify the config files so that you can use the 'very high' settings on xp (dx9) ..looks so much better then 'high'

kinda shady that they made 'very high' vista (dx10) only when it appears to work pretty good on dx9, tho im sure theres a few things that dont work in dx9 and it probably looks better overall with dx10.. but still lol.. seems like a bit of a trick to get ppl to switch to vista (microsoft probably threw some cash their way lol)

its definitly got that 'far cry' feel to it, which isnt really a bad thing since far cry was a pretty good game..

ahhhhhh cant wait for this to come out.. november is gonna be a crazy month...

crysis, cod4, intel's 45nm chips, nvidia's G92 chips, razer's Lycosa keyboard (ya ive been waiting months to get a damn keyboard but its finally almost released lol)

all this shit should keep me occupied for a while, especially since i accidently finished S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and my damn save game isnt back far enough to avoid one of the endings :(

..so get used to me being around even less then i already am lol, and im already planning another vacation around new years.. seems like i might be going to pittsburgh quite often now lol..

anyway.. if youve got a somewhat decent system (i'd say i do and i only get like 25fps avg @ 1680x1050 everything maxed out except AA yet it feels totally smooth) definitly check out the crysis demo, and dont cry bout the 1.5gb download size lol.. and while you're downloading one large demo, download the cod4 demo too lol

for some strange reason the crysis demo has a ton of content from the full game.. like all the weapons and vehicles and shit (the tactical nukes are fucking great).. and since they included a level editor with it.. ppl have made maps for the demo with all the shit available lol..
