today was a good day
a plane landing at pearson airport today lost power seconds before touchdown, bounced on the runway, blew tires, skidded off the runway and into a ravine. it broke in two and burst into flames. 297 and 12 crew on board.
0 dead and 14 injured. you can slam an airplane moving at 120mph into a ravine, but you cant crash on the highway and expect to live. well we live about 3k from that. a buddy and i got onto my building roof with the key *cough* screwdriver *cough* we had. so i got some pics. and one from much closer. the smoke spread and covered an entire city this is maybe 500m away |

ok now ive had time to think of this...
to answer your question, i blazed multiple times throughout the day. i didnt see any of it happen cause i was in the movie theatre. the smoke i am talking about is that brown layer of haze in the pics. it came from the burning plane and covered an entire city. |

ahhhhh follow the pictures...
in the first pic you can see the ploom of smoke starting at centennial hill. in the second, you again can see the ploom at centennial hill. however, now you can see the huge smoke trail across the landscape. the third pic is basically just an extension of the second. the smoke is blanketing mississauga. you cant actually see a distinction between smog and the rest of the sky. i joined the two pics together. |
