i just got my dod:s working not too long ago *finally* but I just started playing it more often the past few days... finally got it at a somewhat playable fps lol...

grr..... you all have source and im left with nothing ...fuck yalll

I haven't been playing much of anything, most of my stuff is packed away cause i am moving, and bulding a new system

im still here.

but i stopped playing on our server at the beginning of september. im on a new connection now. i ping really bad to the server.

however, i ping a lot better to pretty much everything else.

i saw swabie randomly the other day.

i hope you ping really bad to the server...

cuase its been gone for over a month now I believe lol


but im 'considering' getting a source server

i wont be able to run source at a half-decent resolution and framerate so im gonna hold off on it for a bit.

and it will only be another distraction from school.

heh.. i finally got mine running 20-35 avg fps.. dips down to 15 sometimes.. even lower in big firefights... which i try to avoid anyways lol.. and sometimes, like inside, its around 50-60 or so...

my damn slow cpu is killing me...

I run source at:

1024x768@100hz
Models: Medium
Textures: Medium
Shaders: High
Shadows: Low (but turned off through console)
HDR: Off (huge fps killer lol)
Reflections: Simple
Filtering: Bilinear
AA: Off
VSYNC: disabled
Sound Quality: Medium (sound is a big hit to fps cuase the way source engine processes sound)

hmm there might be another option, but Im pretty sure anything else is set to off/low.. With some options like models and textures.. theres quite a noticable difference in quality between Low & Medium, but not really any difference I could find in FPS.. and a lot of ppl ive asked say they noticed it too..

but I also have a lot of console tweaks that help out.. like decal, LOD, props, and other visual tweaks.. gives me an extra 5-10 fps in some cases...

I think this winter.. like after christmas.. Ill probably look into building a new computer... something decent at least.. and way better then this 5yr old piece of trash...

hello niggers. I'm back playing. I'm on Fear and Quake 4 a bit more than Dod source. they fucked with too much shit im not a fan of source. You should know the aim... Flagass hit me up sometime.

I got it a few days ago but havent had a chance to even install it.. fucking work sucks lol.. too many double shifts... yesterday was a 15hr day.. tho i dont work till 4 today so I can probably play it today lol.. but I got a lot of shit to do.. parents are going away monday thru friday.. so I gotta get shit ready for them to be gone from my reality

It's pretty tight. I actually let a friend borrow it and I borrowed Fear off him. The singleplayer is pretty tight it's a good game, but multi is same old quake it sucks. Spawn and get pelted by railguns. Fear is an ill game though singleplayer is great and it has real scary shit thrown in. It's kinda like Residentl Evil meets FPS. The multi player is pretty neat too.

alright.. just installed it.. but got shit to do lol.. cant play yet... :(

i got all this school stuff to worry about lately. college shit.

So yeah hey guys...I c that we have fallen into despair and misery :rolleyes: . Ah well the good times can't last forever. Maybe we will hax again? I mean play again sometime? I've got source and it runs really well. Ill try that server that u play on diamond. Im just busy with University shit and stuff. Well I just wanted to say high and see what people were saying these days. Well if anyone wants to play some dod sorce with me just tell me the ip and when u can play.

lol i am like the only non C:/ person on here..... but anyways i thought it was fun while it lasted. All i play now is work........... girls and World Of Warcraft and mange a Cs server and clan.....

alright.... i might be going crazy, but i think i 'want' to get source. i've been playin a little dod the last couple days. good times... ya, so. if i buy it on steam, how does that work? do they send me a cd? or is it downloaded?
