lol the system idle process is roughly how much of the cpu isnt being used by anything
see how it says at the bottom cpu usage 4% then for the system idle process it says 97 for the cpu (rounded numbers of course) which together equal 100%.. 4 being used 97 not being used everyone has that 'process' (infact i wouldnt even call it a process) and the higher the number on that basically the better in a sense since then other programs and such arent using alot mine for example is jumping between 95 and 98 right now you could try taking off the splitter for your xbox and running straight to the pc/modem and if that fixes it, then you know the splitter is hampering the signal you could also try rebooting/power cycling your modem/router/whateverelseyouhave and maybe a ip release/renew (start>run> ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew) |

Well here is the splitter but sometimes i see the cpu usage spike up and down like for example it'll be running in the steady teens and single digits and spike up to high 60's to 80's but maybe its just the splitter

well i guess if you're seeing the cpu spiking then i wouldnt think it could be the internet itself..

u try directly hooking your modem up to your comp?

I did abouta week or two ago but that was before i removed all the spyware i had so ill try later today, Ive also done about 2 virus scans ! reg scan and a boot scan so no viruses so it has to be the splitter or something I dont know about
