MY pc-- Help?
so, this morning i wake up and turn it on from cold boot, usually i never turn it off but i did last night, and one of my drives was making a loud clicking noise. i freaked out and turned it off, opened my case, messed with them a bit.. reboot and no noise. goin on what i got from google, one of my hds is failing, or gonna fail soon, but as of now all data is fine. how do i find out which one it was and wtf should i do? ive made the .bkf for my c: just now.

Same thing happened to me. I thought it was my HD also after a google search and asking around.
What you should have done was leave the pc on as the noise was still there and open it up and listen and find out exactly what was making the noise. When I did that I found it to be my network card and i felt alot better. |
Check the manufacturer's website for your HDD's.
I have western digital and they have software for my HDD's that will check the health of the drives. |
maybe a fan... that happens to me sometimes
