Sound card issue PLS help dia or mein!!!

So i gots a new computer and issues with recording voice and vent and etc....

So i use Voice recored and i get no voice from my mic, but say if im watching a youtube video as i am recording it picks that up clearly. I have my headset totally unpluged and do it agin with the video plaing and the same thing happens.

I've done all the settings with the mic and volume shit, updated drivers and wut not still no good. and Sudhir kuma says the computer wasn't bought trhough me, Billy, but through William. fuckin idiot

buck_futter October 10th, 2008 09:47 PM

yea its gay.. every sound his computer makes is sent over vent/skype... but not anything he says.. or he has to talk really louldy and then we barely hear him

BuLLeT October 10th, 2008 11:42 PM

its Realtek sound card btw

timmy! October 11th, 2008 01:33 AM

did you check the general settings for anything involving your mic being muted?

BuLLeT October 11th, 2008 01:51 AM

yea all settings are set to make the mic work fine., yet it still comes out super soft. But if i boost my mic in volume options it works, but then its an open mic and i can hear myself talk and i her fuzz

timmy! October 11th, 2008 11:39 AM

it sounds like it's either a shitty sound card or a shitty mic...sound cards in general blow.

HAWKEYE October 11th, 2008 12:32 PM

what a nub...

BuLLeT October 11th, 2008 01:05 PM

mic is fine, deff the sound card.

3 tech's later and nothing..lookin like a return

diamond-optic October 11th, 2008 04:42 PM

is it actually a sound card? or is it onboard.. ive never heard of a realtek sound card

BuLLeT October 12th, 2008 12:27 AM

my bad, its a onboard not a soundcard

reinstalled OS and edited settings for my mic and its soft with the in game voice chats, dod,cs, and with skype and vent. Vent i get it to work by upping the input, but only way i get it to work in game or with skype is by choosing the option mic boost. Even with the mic boost off if i yell into the mic i hear my self.

any way long story short, though buying from dell would be easy and no problems, but they'll be gettin this comp back, unless they want to supply me with a free soundcard.

any sites out there that let u build cutom PC's and choose what u want on it and set it all up for ya, or do i gotta go to local guy?

BuLLeT October 12th, 2008 02:00 PM

ok so i told them the re installation of my OS still didnt't fix my problem, so i told them i was gunna return it. And they offered me another discount of $95. They alrdy gave me a $75 discount for trying to re install my OS. So i told them to send me a new sound card instead cause i dont wanna live with the problem. So they are sending me this, Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card from Creative Labs.

So i said sure, but i see they are trying to run down my time i have to return my system, have 21 days since 10/9 las tthursday.

So dell likes to just try and shut me up and give me $170 worth of discounts for a computer that still wont work properly

So my main question, do you guys think this new soundcard will fix this issue with my microphone? or am i wasting my time installing everything again?

diamond-optic October 12th, 2008 03:34 PM

maybe youre just missing something in the options

i never used any input when i was using onboard realtek hd.. but it all works fine with my xfi

BuLLeT October 12th, 2008 05:19 PM

yea thats the same thing im thinking its just missing some easy thing i got enable or disable..

u wanna come down and help me out?

timmy! October 12th, 2008 09:30 PM

alienware but you'll be paying about 1000 to 2000 for them to put it together.

timmy! October 12th, 2008 09:30 PM

why don't you just buy a sound card their not that much.

BuLLeT October 13th, 2008 12:07 AM

they're sending me one nub

timmy! October 13th, 2008 01:28 PM

okay bun

HAWKEYE October 13th, 2008 02:30 PM

I have a dell and will never ever get a dell again even though this has served me well , I need more shit

timmy! October 13th, 2008 10:46 PM

you should build a computer out of spare gun parts.

more like shitty nazi paraphernalia

timmy! October 13th, 2008 11:00 PM

o_O we could make a nazi hat stand on his computer. Put the headset into the helmet, so everytime he plays he wears the nazi helmet/headphones!

buck_futter October 13th, 2008 11:39 PM

smashing idea Eliza.

BuLLeT October 22nd, 2008 07:20 PM

aight twat muffin, i went thought all the options and the options that i changed didn't fix my issue with my mic being to low, only way it worked was boosting the mic and left a annoying buz sound. what option did i over look?

tell me "Mr. I Wanna shove this in bullets face cause i have one eye right now and want to make him feel stupid"
even tho i got a soundcard out of the whole situation thats better then the original onboard

coltron October 22nd, 2008 10:39 PM

nice try nub. and gg my eyes been better like 2 weeks. googles your friend, im sure u can figure it out. noticed the mixing board in the cp yet?

BuLLeT October 23rd, 2008 06:08 PM

gg nub googler failed n no mixer board..u fail

coltron October 23rd, 2008 06:57 PM

um no you just are stupid. again.
Realtek Soundman: 5.1.0.59
Realtek Sound Effect Manager(CPL): 2.2.0.73
Realtek Sound Effect Manager(RtlCpl): 1.0.1.66
Realtek Sound Effect Manager for NT4: 2.3.0.3

so if you have realtek, and were smart enough to update the drivers, than you have soundman. like every other person with realtek.

BuLLeT October 23rd, 2008 07:14 PM

i updated drivers when i tried to fix problem.

nice job wasting your time, wanna help me tweak my new sound card settings to get the best outta it?

diamond-optic October 23rd, 2008 07:37 PM

one thing i hate with xfi cards.. to switch back and forth from entertainment and game modes.. you have to open the audio control panel shit and change it in that..

i wish i could just have 2 icons on my desktop to change the mode.. tho for all i know maybe there is a way to do that
