Connection Problems

I am having problems staying connected to the server. I am connected for a couple of minutes and then receive the message "Steam connection lost". My internet is working perfectly; any help?

if that doesnt help.. you could try deleting the clientregistry.blob and restart steam... (../steam/ClientRegistry.blob)

recently add a firewall? or change any settings.. or new router?

might not hurt to make sure the ports are fowareded.. believe they are:

UDP 1200 (For the Friends service)

UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive

TCP 27020 to 27050 inclusive

I tried re-installing Steam and saw that the connection setup was different than what was previously set. It must have gotten switched somehow. But anyways, I hope switching it back fixes it.
