ughh once again more issues...
idk wtf happened but this morning before i left for work my pc was incredibly slow.. so i checked out the task manager and saw perl.exe using 100% cpu, when it shouldnt have even been running at that time so i checked out the stats error logs, and saw it was doing daily updates every single second for like 6+ hours (as in activity, ranks, decay, etc..) so i had to end it via the task manager.. rebooted my pc.. ran the update again, now it just sits there, it connects to the server ftp.. finds the logs.. but doesnt do shit with them.. then after a while the server kills the connection for being idle for so long (at least thats what i assume the timeout error on FTP.pm is) so i dont have any idea whats wrong.. i might need to redo the stats from my september backup.. or maybe i just need to reinstall perl.. not quite sure right now lol in any case, the stats arent updating... |
sounds like a corruption issue.
|
yeah but i dont know what the heck could be corrupt..
the db seems fine since viewing the stats still works fine, the other shit updates fine.. and the logsource data seems fine.. i reinstalled active perl, no difference... im gonna try checking the perl scripts and all related files against the psychostats SVN to see if something is different.. and if that doesnt help.. ill backup the mysql db then revert back to a copy from september and see what happens.. i did notice the night it stopped working i installed one windows update.. but it was an update thingy for IE.. so i doubt that would effect this stuff, but i uninstalled it anyway and it made no difference |
have you run your malware scans?
|
i think i narrowed it down to the db.. not sure what it is but im restoring an old backup...
but i tried to run the stats for that dod 3.1 server i was running before and they work just fine.. fun fun fun! |
ok i think i found out why.. the log file from when they stopped working.. is 519mb!
normally they arent bigger then 5mb or so.. so it must have had trouble downloading the file, or the connection timed out before it finished but im attempting to manually download it to see wtf is in this damn log to make it so big |
all fixed...
|
you're so smart.
