enable it or no? (either way its not gonna be enabled on hill)

itd make more sense on hill than avalanche... i fucking hate more than anything when people sit in that gay fucking window with a sniper. sniping on avalanche doesnt mean you have skill, it means youre annoying.

Well its pretty much a sniper rifle but worse. If your gona enable it you could disable of the snipers on the axis team.

if u put it on hill, its pretty much harder cuz itll take like 3 shots for a kill with that and it pretty much is worser than a sniper

but you can easily get 3 shots off when a sniper is only getting 1

i agree but i do notice how much it helps the advance of your own team and if you got good snipers on both sides then it can be a real sniper fight while tryin to help your team with cover

I Like the idea of turning on the Sniper, but i definitly agree with Dia No way on hill u think lil kids abuse spawn camping when were not there give them the 42 sniper and letem sit outside spawn...No thx but on other maps it'd be fun

I think it would be wonderful to have that gun enabled. Either that or just drop the guns for both allies and axis spawn. I think it would be fun. That gun becomes very powerful only within the hands of someone who can use, so I don't see any harm there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that why you got rid of the 1 scoped FG limit? To avoid A) Complaints about it always being in use, and B) The fact that it's just an out-right whorish gun. I don't care if it's enabled or not, just seems like limiting it to one will only make more problems. As much as I enjoy walling people with that gun, it'd probably be better to just leave it disabled.

because they're the 3 weapons that have a normal version and an scoped version.. they were coded in some wierd way in dod and arent treated as totally seperate weapons (well so we think lol)

we, as in the developers/admins at dodplugins.net, think they might use some specific flag in the entity (be it the weapon or the player entity) to decide if it should be scoped or not (the bug where you can sometimes zoom in with the normal enfield also supports this.. sorta..)

and even tho it registers kills as "dod_scoped_fg42" adding a weapon entity for scoped_fg42 and such doesnt do anything..

There's a scoped version of the fg-42? Didn't realize people were that bad that they needed to scope it in to aim.

oh yeah... should probably do something since i started this lol..


what I'll do to start is enable it on every map BUT hill & ava... give it a week or so and if it doesnt seem to be a problem, ill enable it on avalanche

let's put it up for ava. I don't think it would make big difference, but for hill we should leave it out.
