this is a list of different gun skins, alotta cool shit here, lotsa hi res skins. I changed every one of them, a few things to include a really sweet looking carbine, a piat, a para thompson w\o the stock. oh and get the replacement pistols if you do this, the walther and the colts look amazing. they also have the crowbar to replace ur kniife.. if anyone has any other cool ones post em!

just be careful of the fag skin on there.......the amount of times ive been shot in the appartments tranna pick up the fg42 off that sodding bookshelf and it lags for 10 seconds GRRRRRRRR.....is a funky skin though :D

hmm......actually, that could be the reason I lag for 15 minutes after joining a server......I added a whole bunch of new skins the other week........

I can't afford to be lagging due to adding funky new features it makes me feel dizzy :s

ya if your pc isnt handling dod perfectly to begin with..

replacing your models with custom ones (which are almost always higher poly then the default) you could see a drop in fps..

especially weapons with high poly world models with large textures..

i changed them all and ive been watchin my fps really close, that fg42 skin is bad for me too... and i wouldnt suggest using the desert eagle one in place of your 1911. the reload doesnt work right.

I customised everything from there, and my fps is now about 20 lower... oh noes! now I'm running at 50 odd fps on a computer that was made by dell coming up to 2 years ago :O :O :O

thats strange cuz i have solid 72 fps and i spent a long time putting like 100 of these exactly how i wanted everything. i changed pistols like 10 times,... there are like 3 models, the one for the ground, the one you hold, and the one you see the other person hold. good thing is they replace the current ones so you can just delete them. i have the gatling gun 30 cal and some amazing skins for the sniper rifles, and i finally figured out the damn flag thing.

That gatling gun is awesome :D
I dont bother installing the 'p' skins.....dont care what they look like on the ground, just in my hand lol. But I could do with deleting a few, see if I can reduce the lagging a wee bit.....didnt lag this bad the first time.......

and I gotta add summat....ppl are always complaining about fps...
I read on a steam forum, that under heavy fire, someones fps dropped ALL THE WAY down to 70.....70!!!!
Ive got an average of 15fps ffs And I still manage to land headshots on you all :p lol
AND........the human eye is actually pretty shite.......it can only read 15 fps.....less its somehow different coming from a monitor or summat, idk

im not gonna go into details.. theres like 100's of websites that already do that...

but get in a place where you can move around with like 75+ fps..
then set your max fps to 15 and start moving around...

im willing to bet you notice a big difference..

dod/models/player/us-para
dod/models/player/brit-inf
dod/models/player/axis-para
dod/models/player/us-inf

then put ur models in the inf/para folders accordingly.

PS. avamods uses paramodels on most maps on the votelist.

the gun skins are damn awesome i like the sounds and the graphics and i also have a hight resolution of soldier outfits but it don't work on al the maps

i really want some naked chick models so i can "fap fap" while I play dod.

which is actually turning out to be pretty fucking cool, as i can see most of them, because there arent really many other sites that have them. so most of the skins are being downloaded from that craphole of a site haha..
