Bring back the BLEED!
 

I would honestly love to see Bleeding/Bandaging again. That was the coolest shit about DoD. Do I try to kill him and risk death by blood loss? Or bandage and hide and risk him tossing a nade in my cornhole? Maybe make the rifles have low chance to cause bleed (5%), heavy autos (10%), light autos (15%), grease/carbine/pistols (20%), explosives (100%). Been wishing to play with bleeding for awhile now. ;0

if it were to be done at all... I'd say use the medic class... and have a slow bleed.. but most of the time you cant tell if you are bleeding or if you have fixed youre bleeding...

I remember there being a bleeding icon..and when you were bandaging..you had a medkit/bandage out..lol. Plus the annoying "uh - uh - uh" sound. If you couldn't tell you were bleeding from life loss, annoying sound, and icon..you were high on angel dust or a retarded mongoose.

is there even a working bleeding mod anymore?

the old DoD Bleeding plugin hasnt been updated in over a year.. and im pretty sure it doesnt work with amxx versions higher then 1.60

if i ever get time i could try taking a look into it... and maybe come up with something simple where all the idiots on the server wouldnt be confused out of there mind

The idea was floating around on some message board I have long forgotten about putting it in a bulldog message. That way you can't miss it. You know of a decent online reference for the function libraries? Guess I could not be lazy and do it myself.

if the dod devs werent so gay and included the StatusIcon message.. it would be simple to display sprites anywhere on the screen.. but noooo that message was removed from dod

i really dont even like the way the old bleeding plugin showed the blood drop and the bandage... cause basically the only way to show them is in the place of where the object hud sprites show up.. but that means if you have an object.. it would replace it.. or if you were bleeding and picked up an object.. etc.. tho you could probably save what object they have and switch back to it after the drop/bandage sprite no longer needs to be displayed

The jammed gun thing is enough for me. I had it jam 4 times in 45 seconds. If I'm bleeding, I'm gonna be spamming that use button o.o

firestorm has kinda remade and released the dod bleeding plugin..

so im gonna tweak a few bits of the code and put it on the server, but it will probably be OFF by default and ill occasionally turn it on when im there (so i can watch for any errors or problems)

im sure this will cause all sorts of hell lol but we'll give it a try and see what happens


..there are a few things i really dont like with the plugin.. like bleeding after taking 1dmg is gay.. especially if its like 1dmg fall when you leave the spawn or such.. thats really annoying.. but again.. ill have to tweak shit :P actually maybe ill just put something in now where you have to take at least like 20damage to bleed

make it so that crappy "your bleeding press the use button to bandage yourself" or w/e it is go away it gets distracting :P

Also, if you're deployed you can bandage and shoot at the same time. It's gay (when you shoot a deployed person)/awesome (when you are deployed).

mebe if it made ur gun go down like in insurgency.. just without the bug where u cant move :P

actually when you bandage with a deployed MG it undeploys you... so you're statement is wrong..

and when bandaging.. you can only use knife anyway
