Default Frequent game crashes

For some reason, all the games I've been playing have been crashing unexpectantly.

First, it was DoD 1.3. Whenever a lot of sounds were going on at once and a lot of action was going on (i.e., sitting in the hole with an MG firing, with mortars and grenades going off, with opposing MG fire coming in too - all at once), the game would freeze for a second, then completely shut down. As if the game wasn't open in the first place. No error messages, no "program was not responding" messages. Nada.

Then, it's Call of Duty 2. Though this might just be due to a glitchy game? Dunno. Anyway, whenever I'd load a mission, I'd click to start the mission. A sound would blip, and I'd get the blue screen of death. I couldn't ctrl alt delete, alt F4, or anything. I'd have to keep hard resetting my CPU (which I don't like doing under any circumstance...). The crashes even went as far as erasing all my saves, which wasn't very fun when you're near completing the game. Luckily Gamefaqs pulled through with cheats to help recover those missions lost. But I digress, the point is, it kept crashing.

Finally, it's DoD: Source (perhaps some deity is punishing me for betraying DoD 1.3). Same deal as 1.3, I run into someone and click shoot, then the game closed out the same way. Except this time it stated some internal error nonsense, and proceeded to freeze my computer for 15 seconds or so (my guess is my RAM was still recovering from the massive amount the HL2 engine eats).

I've never had this problem before. I know the two DoD crashes are linked, but the CoD2 might just be from glitches. Either way, it's really getting on my nerves.

Someone help
