wierd lol, tho i guess if reseating the nic card made it go away then its probably nothing to really worry about.. it might have just worked itself out of the slot a tiny bit and caused some random problems lol
the other day i thought i saw sparks inside my case.. nearly freaked out.. but all it ended up being was some clumps of dust caught in my southbridge fan (which is right underneath my 8800, so not totally easy to see completely) and the combination of that blowing around randomly and the different lights inside the case (mainly the red one on the MCP cooler) made it look quite scary from a distance lol and i thought my video card was shorting out.. which made me for a second think my northbridge heatsink (which has pretty shitty mounting) fell onto the back of my video card.. as its probably not good to have the metal heatsink touching the traces and pins on the back of the gpu pcb :-\
