ok follow the link http://avamods.com/public/xhair/.. save the customxhair.spr to your steam/steamapps/yourname/dayofdefeat/dod/sprite file..
then save the userconfig.config file to steam/steamapps/youname/dayofdefeat/dod file
yyou have to restart your dod, then in console type bind whateverkeyyoulike xtog obviously you need to pick a key and not type in whateverkeyyoulike 
then in game you should be able to scroll through the crosshairs..

***EDIT** the links are down due to the switching of cdrive to avamods.., so instead of following the first link, download(customxhair.spr) it directly from this thread, save it to steam/steamapps/yourname/dayofdefeat/dod/sprite folder..
then download/and open the userconfig.txt file in note pad, then save it as userconfig.cfg and put in steam/steamapps/youname/dayofdefeat/dod
then in console type bind whateverkeyyoulike xtog
then you should be able to scroll through them in game..
