i know what you said dia about how you like intel but here is something for ya, i have just messed about with a amd system and overclocked it. this is what is running.
amd athlon 4800+ x2 core speed 2.5ghz 2gig ddr2 ram unbranded (bog standard) cheap ass asus mobo all this cost in dollars about 200. the cpu is now running at 2.97 ghz and has been put under 2 different stress test and passed with flying colours, beats spending 1500, if i had got a 5200+ i could get even higer. not bad eh?
