No dude, you havn't figured it out yet? You're supposed to hesitate before shooting, not bother to check corners (because nobody camps in cs/dod), and aim slow. Then you'll fit right in.
You've probably tried all this, but i'll throw it out there anyway. Try setting steam's process priority to low before firing into dod. If it runs cs fine, could it be something in your dod cfg? Try moving it and letting dod create a default when you launch. opengl, widescreen, aspect ratio is all ok? Your vsync must be off if cs is running at 100.. I can't really think of anything else to try. |

just tried it a lil bit ago.. didnt help at all opengl, widescreen, aspect ratio is all ok? Your vsync must be off if cs is running at 100.. I can't really think of anything else to try.
everything is set the same in dod as i had it in cs... doesnt make sense, i know dod is a little graphically more intense then cs, but definitely not anything huge and not something my pc cant handle | AvaMods | dodplugins | amxx plugins | Quote: Originally Posted by ThePowerCosmic in regards to AvaMods

Ah, I bet if you launch with a lower dx level it might help. Right click DoD on steam -> properties -> launch options -> -dxlevel 81
-64bit too maybe? -dxlevel 81 -64bit -noforcemspeed -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms http://supportwiki.steampowered.com/...Launch_Options |

well i run in opengl anyway... and i think the -64bit is only for source games, and then only for ones that support it.. everything ive tried it on still runs in 32
but i think i got it.. i set the hl.exe priority to above normal and its staying pretty constant at 99 now.. i am getting a few laggish type spikes here and there.. but not too bad so far wish i could get it to work without having to set the priority each time.. but oh well it will do for now... i thought maybe it was my cmd line options earliar, cause i have some not-so-normal stuff in it.. but removing them all didnt help Quote:

Enjoy your vac ban Damian Jr. I think there's a way to edit the steam shortcut and have it set process priority. I tried a few things with start/run cmd in windows and didnt have any luck. cmd /c start /high steam.exe Last edited by worst dod player ever; May 9th, 2009 at 11:47 AM. |
