aye was a good weekend, was supposed to be around 280 Axis and 190 Allies, but had a huge storm the friday before and that dumped a few inches of snow, so the numbers were reduced as people could couldnt get to the event. The Axis prevailed in the end and the canadians and the airborn chaps back from the Fatherland

blanks.. the weapons the vehicles and other stuff are real pre 1945, the kars are real the mg42/34's are real, we use blanks, its Kind of on the honour system if you take your hit, but put it this way, if you decided to run to a MG nest you had better drop and remove the helmet (sign that ur dead) Cos a 42 will cut you down, same with rifles, you can see if a allie has his Grarand or what ever pointed at you in the distance, you just take your hit.. bit like theater

The ranks are the same, we have over all commanders, we have proper maps we speak german, we do propler tactical manovers, we sleep in zeltbahns (tents) when no barracks or shelter is availalble. all sorts of stuff... I love military history and reliving it, only thing missing is I dont bleed when I get shot :)

sounds like fun :D

those pics are really nice. the tiger was sweet but i could tell it was a T-34 by the suspension. but it still looks really nice.:D I gotta go to one of those things.

you have to be part of a well established group and invited to this event. As for sniper... you have to have a judge with you. You say who your gonna shoot (3rd landser form the left) the judge looks thro binos and then confirms the kill or not..

so sniping is pretty much a waste of time in this event only time it matters is when its an points event like the one up in upstate NY at odessa

Basic kit runs into around 2 grand for decent stuff,. most of my kit is orginal.

dude thats pretty badass, too bad we dont have that down here in GA :(
