Hey everyone... I just wanted to tell you all my story with geico...

DON'T INSURE WITH GEICO.

The rims were stolen off my car on January 16. I filed a claim the same day.

After going for two months without a car while I was waiting for them to tell me how much they would cover, I finally got the car repaired at a cost of $2300 (plus a $460 towing charge from when the rims were stolen)

It's now May 1, and I still haven't received payment.

Payment for the next six months was due on April 26 (which I didn't pay).

I told them I wouldn't pay until I received payment in full.

I really don't expect to receive payment, ever.

gAHH That sucks,... got to the insureance ombudsman... or call geicos main office.. as you may be dealing with a local rep...

geico is full of shit.. we got sick of thier practices and went to progressive.. they lied, and said the claim that was made, was due to an accident that was our fault..there was one claim and it was from an old lady that plowed into my truck which was parked in a parking space across the street from her house. She just decided not to stop.so she did serious damage to the whole side of my truck. they repaired it. they wanted to just put bondo over it and call it a day.. I argued and said no, i want my truck in the condition it was in before it was hit..ie replace the panels. they reluctantly did, but then they changed the claim to an at fault accident.OUR fault!! Ive had to go through so much bs to try and get it removed because it made our cost for progressive much higher than it was supposed to be. Geico are serious rip off artists. and i went through the main office.. I dont deal with insurance agents because you have to PAY for them..I dont need a middle man making my payment even higher thankyouverymuch!

just curious, what do you guys pay?... I pay $128 a month for full coverage and thats thro farmers...

jesus christ you $128 = about £80 i pay £43 fully comp for a 1.9litre trubo diesel

I live in philadelphia.. one the highest priced for car insurence in the US.
